Ja'Meya
Ja'Meya's story makes me have a few feelings and things to say. It doesn't matter if you're fat, skinny, ugly, beautiful, you can still get bullied. I think she's really STUPID for bringing a gun. What did she think was going to happen? I mean honestly, common sense. I think her consequences should have been different. Maybe not as much time as they gave her. That was kind of ridicoulas. Yes, it does matter if she hurt someone or not. The point is, she threatend the kids on the bus. If any lessons can be learned from this story, people should handle bullying differently. They shouldn't take it upon theirself to stop it, get an adult. I think her race had a big part to do with her sentencing.
Kelby
Her story upsets me. Atleast she has friends though, that's probably what helps her get through everything. I don't know how she's able to endure everything she's been through, but I respect her for it. Gays, lesbians, trans-genders, and bisexuals are often singled out because people don't like them. They don't like how they act, look, ect. Bullying effects attutides, because people feel like they are no longer able to act like theirself because they're being judged for what they like.
Alex
Alex's story is sad. I don't think it's right for him to get bullied, much less ANYBODY. People don't know how to respond to something that they've never encountered before! Parents and officials can help the kid by giving the bully some type of punishment. Sometimes, if the kid stands up for theirself, or if a parent gets involved, that makes things worse. Adult intervention is needed in every situation of bullying.

- What did Jamie hope to accomplish by filing a lawsuit? Jamie hoped to accomplish justice by filing a lawsuit so that no one else would get bullied.

- What role did bystanders play in Jamie’s bullying? The role that bystandars played in Jamie's bullying were just watching what he was going through, and not helping.
- What are some common misconceptions about bullying? Some common misconceptions about bullying are that it only happens to certain people, races, sizes, genders, ect. I don't think that's true, at all. It can happen to anyone, no matter what you look like and who you are.
- What is the constitutional basis of Jamie’s case? The constitutional basis of Jamie's case was that the school DID NOT help prevent him from getting bullied!
- What are Jamie’s key messages when he speaks at the assembly? The key message he speaks in the assembly is that you should fight for something that you believe in, and if he can fight for what he believed was wrong, then ANYONE can.
- What lessons do you take away from his story? The lessons that I take from this story are that you can fight for whatever you believe in, and to stand up for yourself!
